Well I'll say this much...I'm from Pittsburgh, so we're sort of northeastern meets midwestern. Maybe not quite as "bitchy" and "cold" as northeastern women per say, but basically the same sort of deal to a lesser extent. I'm a musician so I like to travel during my vacation time, but whenever I visit Austin or Nashville...good God, the women are so much more attractive it's not even funny. Especially Austin, women from Texas tend to be gorgeous but without the total airhead turnoff that you can get from attractive Southeastern women. Dunno, but it's a night and day difference in terms of looks, warm and friendly personalities, etc from Pittsburgh to Austin from my perspective at least. Southern women are definately much more social and talkative from my experiences. There may be more overall substance to a northern woman, but southern women are so much more pleasant in terms of general company and just having somebody to hang out with. Also, accents completely ruin me...I want to visit Australia, but I'm putting that off due to the fear that I would fall for somebody over there and more or less never want to come back.
I'll say there's a huge difference in the way they cook. I've never heard of "northern cooking" or "midwestern cooking". I'm grateful to have learned to cook in the South. Proud to be from the South!
It depends on what you consider South but if you include Kentucky:
“Tough girls come from New York. Sweet girls, they're from Georgia. But us Kentucky girls, we have fire and ice in our blood. We can ride horses, be a debutante, throw left hooks, and drink with the boys, all the while making sweet tea, darlin'. And if we have an opinion, you know you're gonna hear it.” ashley judd
