There's huge a difference between complaining about not being able to watch a movie when you want to and not having your needs met to a point of dissatisfaction within the relationship.
exactly, it's ok to want your needs met because if not then you need to move on. No person should preoccupy themselves with work to the point of neglecting the one they love or care for.
Just for some extra money. He doesn't need it per say - like he can pay his rent and bills without it, but he also doesn't make a ton of money at his day job to the point where he's super comfortable.

Looks like now he is super comfortable with the money, and don't need sex.

Have you talked to him about your needs not being met ?
He rejected me on the phone when I said I was coming over. Then he started to raise his voice and eventually hung up on me because we were arguing. He started saying I wasn't understanding his situation enough and I said that he needs to make it work again because he's the one that's taking on way too much right now and I'm suffering the result. I don't want him to quit the night job, just doing 3 days a week would be fine but I don't even know if I can get him to do that.
