I understand why it is frustrating, but you shouldn't take the rejection so personally, loads and loads of women just dislike the bodybuilder physique. Focus on the ones that like it.
I use to feel that way but when I met a soulmate I felt so different,I would not care in the slightest if he went fat, burn victim etc I just adore him.it happens when you fall in love properly.

US women are generally more shallow than men they mostly only care about big money and social status... looks and personality are a distant 3rd and 4th.
A lot of bodybuilders are douche bag meatheads though so it could be a personality problem.

And you shouldn't have to; you should pick who's best for you. But as has been mentioned, not everyone has the same taste.
The OP's definition of "slob" might be "not a bodybuilder" like himself. There are plenty of women, myself included, who don't mind if a guy's not on the end of the physical spectrum where he looks like an action figure. He can still be fun and sexy and attractive.
I think this is pretty likely. The OP is having a hard time grasping that others may not share his opinion on what constitutes an ideal look.

This is why I tell the ''I'm ugly and no one wants to date me. You need to be attractive!'' crowd to go out and take a gander in public. You'll see all types guys that are not that great looking with women who are. Same thing could be said about below average looking women with nice looking men.
That's why I say, if you're not getting dates, it's not your looks.
All in all, there's nothing wrong with physical attractiveness being a prerequisite in a partner. I think anyone who says otherwise is most likely lying.
