I'm never one to look for outside advise when dealing with relatioship issues. My relationship issues are dealt with immediately, if or when presented, only with my partner.

You also don't want them validating your (mis)understanding of the relationship. The only friend that you should talk to about your relationship issues is the friend with whom you are having that relationship.
I had one and only one friend who i could share personal challenges with.... we had known each other for 20 or so years and shared a lot. Not the type of friendship that one finds in life very often. Other than that person... no...
