I didn't read your post properly. It's not his answer that turned me off.
I just realized there's no point in meeting up with someone who will leave in two days. Even if we wound up liking each other, it wouldn't go anywhere.
I am very "long term relationship" oriented and use Tinder almost exclusively (gave up on Cupid). This myth that Tinder is a hookup app needs to lay off. It may have started that way but nowadays there are tons of people on there who are actually serious about relationships.
As far as your situation, its definitely worth a shot IMO
OP, you're completely overthinking this. It's a first date, not a marriage proposal. If he seems like someone you'd enjoy spending time with, do it. If he doesn't, don't. Keep your expectations in check, though! View the first date as a chance to hopefully have fun and get to know someone a little. If anything happens beyond that, consider it a happy bonus, but don't expect it.

In his defense I think it's rude to have asked how many people he has met on the site. I use Tinder and don't mind men asking about my experience with OLD but as to the number of men I've met online , that's tacky and they really don't want to know if they are that insecure.
I asked him a question as to whether he's already met people via this website. His response 'I don't keep count' and he stopped answering.
