LOL I"m not alone. People are always pretending to die from shock when I spring the WAY over 30-ness on them. Apparently I look 10 years younger. But as I have written before, they haven't seen me n@ked.
Yes....recently went out for drinks and got carded by the female bartending. Held the id up to the light to see the reflective coating and asked me all sorts of questions and looked me up and down like a cop. After I started talking and id check it was obvious that I was at least 21. She kept looking at me all night and finally asked me what I use on my face as we were going to leave. LOL! Im going to be 34 rather soon.
I just told her what I used and said I hadn't had a tan since childhood. She was a tanning girl and said..."wow...maybe I shouldn't tan so much." I told her she looked good and just to watch for skin cancer. She told me I sounded like her mom. HAHAHA! So I made that the concrete proof that I am old.
I'm 21 and people always assume that I'm 18 or younger. A friend of a friend of mine didn't believe me when I told her that I was 20 and I had to show her my ID to prove myself. It was funny though. I am short too so that didn't help much.
Yes, I'm 30 and I'm constantly being told that I look to be 21/22. Over the weekend, someone applauded me for looking "16ish"
That's not always a good thing being single. I find that I'm always being approached by very young guys (20-25) or very old pervs (50+). I think a lot of the guys that are actually IN my age range may look at me and assume that I'm too young. I dress appropriately for my age and I'm 5'9, so IDK, it must be in the face...
I generally get taken for younger, probably because I dress like a college student (lots of jeans and t-shirts), and have a perpetual ponytail and minimal makeup. My sister is six years younger than I am (28 to my 34), and I've been out with her numerous times where I get carded and she doesn't. But she dresses more adult.
Do people treat you differently because you don't look your age- whether it be younger or older than your true age?
And yes, I suppose its the same question if you don't act your age either
I am constantly running into this problem and it is just something that I can not get used to! Anyone else have stories to share?
Yes all the time..when I take my son and we have his son with us..some thought we were married? my son kinda looks like me..so why would anyone think that..and besides my grandson is half white..he looks more caucasian that hispanic. ..some lady thought I was my daughters sister...?? I get told all the time "you have kids in their 20s"? or you have teens? how old are you?
When I say 40 its like..you are?

I have guys who are my sons age approach me..that is just too creepy for me..
I get carded all the time. It's funny because at 12-14 I was constantly told I looked at least 18 (and when I was 10 my 4th grade teacher said I could easily pass for a 16 year old), and now people tell me I still look between the ages of 18 and 20 lol. At 24, I want to look my age, not younger! But maybe it's a sign that I will age well .
