For me personally, there's no one in the world that's worth so much that I'd let them sit at home while I go out and make all the money. If I have to work, they have to work, period. But I'd like to hear other people's thoughts on the subject, especially those who have a stay at home wife or husband. What makes them so great that you're willing to work your life away to support them while they get all the free time in the world to do whatever they please, on your dime?

Because that's what works for some people.

Easy peasy.

Thanks for that non-answer. I'm more focused on the reasons why they feel it's a good situation.

You asked a question and received a valid answer. Why did you ask if you didn't want to hear thoughts other than your own? Doesn't that constitute trolling if all you want to do is argue?

Why do you feel entitled to reasons?

People do what they want to do. Obviously, you wouldn't do the same thing. But certainly you're not here to accept what people say about the issue.

If you ever get a chance to do housework AND raise a couple little ones you would be singing a different tune.

No, I'm not here to just argue, I'm just trying to get a more detailed answer than "that's just what works for some people" I understand that, I'm more interested in why than just "it works"

I never said I was entitled to anything. I'm just here asking a question, because it's something I just can't wrap my head around. Also, if you just do something without being able to list good reasons for it, maybe you should rethink what you're doing. I can give you reasons for all of the decisions I make.
