It gives a hidden message of possible malnutrition or other possible issues.

Sounds silly but subconsciously it's happening.

Our culture in America embraces glamor....and the bigger is better concept.

Height can give an overpowering or emboldening confidence.

The opposite is true for being short.

When we look for a mate we look for healthy, attractive (to ourselves) and stable individuals.
