OP, why don't you just ask her out? You seem to really like her, aside from the fact that she's ''Too old'' for you. I'm wondering how old she is? I'm hoping she's at least old enough to be your mom, if her age is really a deterrent.
Why would you ask her if she knows any single girls, just because you like her accent? Are you hoping she's onto a secret stash of French-accented girls?

I guess this is part of the foreigners-with-accents cachet. Some of the guys posting here in the past have said they want women who are well-travelled, speak foreign languages, and can discuss politics and foreign affairs. I've never understood why they didn't meet any of the many dozens of women who fit that bill in undergrad programs, not to mention grad school. I knew quite a few women like that as an undergrad, and none of them were getting any male attention. I guess they didn't sound exotic enough? Or the guys were too busy partying and getting drunk to find the women they now say they wish they could meet? I guess it's cool to be French, if you're female? But the guys don't go after the Russian-American girls, either. You'd think it would be cool to be Russian, but no, --only if your face is in an internet catalog based overseas.
