I know it's been discussed to death how guys get very few responses from women. We're all pretty used to that by now. So here's a new question. Guys, which would be worse for you...
A. You express interest and get no reply at all
B. You express interest and get a fairly enthusiastic "Yes, I'd be happy to meet you! Let's make some plans," and THEN get no further replies
It just happened to me, and this wasn't even via OLD. I met her in person and we exchanged the one email and then nothing. Somehow, I'd have been less annoyed if she never wrote back at all.

You have to pull up your big boy pants and email what you both are going to do.

I'd honestly feel less annoyed with no response. But maybe she was waiting for you to initiate. You brought up going out with her, be more specific.
Through OLD, I really did not have a problem with no reply. It's to be expected in a certain percentage of inquiries there. Trying to make plans with someone who acts like they want to go out, but then gets wishy washy or won't commit to a day/time is far more irritating.
To answer your question, their inbox gets blown up every day with a dozen replies, so they probably just found someone they want more than you.
