You need to do something about that, and Craigslist isn't going to change that...

I recently hit "reset."
In addition to deleting Facebook, I am not contacting a single person who doesn't contact me first. Seems a LOT of people I am not talking to, aside from my handful of concert buddies.
Fine with me, at least I know where things stand.
Of course I am a 40 something year old man with the mind of a teenager and aware of the fact that people my age aren't really supposed to have "friends" but a family and a career with any social life beyond that on the periphy.
So no more blanketing the site with ads with the hope that I might get a few hookups a year.
I do admit being completely addicted to casual encounters. I also admit to not being on anything resembling a date in decades and going years without even having a successful conversation with a member of the opposite sex.
Last non-Craigslist hookup was in 2003.
Of course the scammers and bot ads are still continuing unabated as usual.
Just another fatal blow in the death of the free internet.

You mean you might have to treat these objects as human beings instead of using their bodies like a rag doll? If you are going to claim that is happening to you, I won't disagree. But still, you remain guilty.
I do not see a fatal blow here whatsoever. You will have to be forced to have conversation treating the person as a human being of value before using them. And by then, you may just fall into a real human relationship. Then it won't feel like a blow. Literally or figuratively

"Guilty" is quite the accusatory statement when we are talking about mutually agreed upon behavior. And never have I disrespected anyone I met off Craigslist.
