That's why I never pay for any of my meets. I don't even bring my purse. I keep it in my car. What I don't get is why you don't just give him your share. Why ask? If I want to pay my share I just give my share no questions asked.
hahahahahahahhahahahaon a first date that I knew was a first date, and that more would come I razzed the guy. He said something about 'on our first date' and I said oh, this is a first date, is it? He got flustered until I smiled. I wonder if he was also testing the waters with that remark.
I don't know what I should be doing since the waitress brought one check. I thought I was supposed to offer which is why I asked if he wants me to pay my share. Bear in mind, I haven't dated in over a decade so it's all new to me. For next time, am I supposed to just put my portion of the check on the table? Should I reach for my purse? Do I ask? Do I excuse myself for the ladies room? Stressful to say the least.

Well, it depends. I know there are women out there who would never dream of splitting the bill, so if that’s you then I guess you just sit there and smile until he pays for everything. If that’s not you, then you reach for your purse when the bill comes. It’s not really stressful.
