I'm not trying to go OT...it's just that this is an element to the story that surprised me...so apparently this woman is much older...I don't know...that does kind of make me do a double-take, that a woman twice a boy's age would send him double-roses as an emoji. I am trying to think of myself in this position and how I would treat things, if I were interested in getting together with a 25-year-old. I just don't think this is how I'd pursue things, LOL. I'd just say it. I can be shy and I can be hesitant and I like being wooed but if it were someone that young...I don't know. I'd likely be more direct than this. I mean I know how young guys kind of need to be slammed in the head with a two-by-four to get a subtle message sometimes. But really, you never know.
OP, somebody's got to be the grownup and the 40something woman isn't volunteering for that job so YOU ask her if she'd like to go out. She'll say yes or no (hopefully) and then you'll know...good luck!
