My aunt married a guy who was 68 and it was his first marriage. So the cut-off for getting married is at least 68.
That is probably past the cut off date to have children, though. Unless you are drop dead gorgeous and rich, when you are 68 you most likely won't get a wife who is in her 20's and wanting to get pregnant.
My FIL met my now deceased (she died last summer) wife in their 60s. That's not a first marriage so I don't know if it "counts" for the purposes of this thread but if it does, FWIW, they did everything together, everything, they adored one another. They were a true love match. His heart is broken right now in like ten billion pieces. It is horrible to watch.
Now with that said, even if we do find love and get married, etc. one of us probably will die without the other...nearly one-half of all couples die alone, if you mean dying without a mate at your side. Barring both of you holding hands while the plane goes down or something.
That age will be very different for someone who has made it to, say, 30, without ever having dated, had sex or had a relationship, vs someone who has been dating and exploring potential partners and hasn't found the right person.

Fair?
30 is still pretty young, but push that up to 35-40 and that's definitely fair.
Women get married at all ages, including in their 60's for first marriages, as well as 2nd marriage, even 70's. Anybody can get married at any age, and they do, no matter what anyone else thinks. Meryl Streep just got married for the first time, IIRC, in her 60's.
Meryl Streep has been married for nearly 40 years and has 4 kids.
But I agree with the overall notion that there is no timeline or deadline for relationships. There just isn't.

Sure. If you make the assumption that people who for decades have been isolated, socially debilitated, fearful of others and brainwashed by "incel" Internet sites can suddenly turn that around. I guess it can happen, with therapy and a strong will. Good point.
I officially gave up at the beginning of this year. I'm 49. People kept telling me my family, if I had one would look "different" from what I want, which is kids of my own. I've finally let it go. Also, with the dating world the way t is, and living where I live, I can either accept it or be more miserable pursuing an unattainable dream. I've just accepted it.
