Were you really expecting anything useful, when you tell us nothing? You don't tell us about the situation, what you're asking advice on (clothing? venue? etiquette?), not even your gender. This isn't the way to get help.
Meeting at a local restaurant. I think it's confirmed.
Okay. Take your own transportation and meet there. Relax and let the conversation flow. There should be plenty to talk about. Your jobs, some funny story about the dating site if you met on one (but nothing too hardcore and nothing judgmental as the opposite sex), the restaurant - if you've already been there, maybe point out your favorite dish, or discuss what you both usually like and look at the menu together to help pick stuff out.
You're in Anaheim...talk about stuff you like to do in L.A. or the OC.
Try not to spill all your life's most intimate hopes, dreams and info about past relationships. This is a first date. Being too intense can be offputting. It won't ALWAYS be but if you are literally starting from scratch and need really general advice I would say, keep things light.

I'm male.
I'm in my 40's. I had a girlfriend for a few months briefly when I was 17. So my experience, expectations and overall outlook are quite minimal.

Thanks!
I am starting from scratch in more ways than one. This was pretty unexpected but I decided to go with it.
Are you saying you haven't had a date since you were 17?
