My date ordered a $50 lobster and steak combo on our first meal.
I haven't been following this thread and I'm not gonna start now, but...
if the OP doesn't see this as anything but the solid reason to pass on this girl that it is...
well, then he deserves what will surely follow.
Actually, I have sushi every week. One of my neighbors is a Korean Sushi Chef with his own place right in town (moved away from NYC years ago). Lunch special 3pc Tuna Sushi, 3pc Salmon Sushi, California roll, Miso soup, Green tea, Salmon Tartar, and a spicy Calamari Salad. I pay $38 including tax and my tip.. that's pretty darn inexpensive. If I'm lucky, he will try to expand my palate with something he knows I usually don't order or a special cut of something like Toro from the underbelly of the bluefin... never charges for those adventures either.
Too bad most of my friends don't like Sushi, so I usually go alone... When it is quiet, he will sit next to me (at the bar) and we will have nice chat about family and such over the tea.

There is sushi here, and I was amused at the price of the burger--and you can't get cheese on it becsuse it's a kosher restaurant.
He took her to the taco food truck, yes. But he was the one who dumped her, because she ordered the shrimp taco for $9.99.
It was the most expensive damned taco on the truck. She left him with no choice.
It was the principle of the thing. FTR, he ordered two fried chip triangles and a teaspoon of guacamole for $1.49.
Hahahaha! I can't tell if you're being sarcastic here or not. My 2 cents is I'd be a little miffed too, but I'm not cheap. However, if a woman is expecting fancy dinners all the time I'm not the guy. It could take a few dates to determine that. Anyway, I think its more romantic to cook for someone at home and share a bottle of wine (maybe date 3 or 4). I also save aggressively for the future, so I will not date materialistic women.
