My town has a wildly popular film library. And no, I don't do Netflix.

I would continue to be her friend, but not get romantically involved with a chronically ill person.

I’m enjoying this saga and hope the OP returns soon. Last summer we drove through his neck of the woods. I can understand why these Florida people moved there. It’s beautiful.

True, but Florida also has a ton of hurricanes, tornadoes, and similar major destructive weather events...

She was born and raised in Sarasota. Not Tampa. I just used Tampa as the nearest major metro. This was over a decade ago. From what I've gathered, this was an economic move for her dad, then mom and the rest of the gang came after.

We watched a movie at my condo tonight, and she's staying here. She can get up and down my stairs holding onto the rail with just a crutch on one side and using the leverage from the rail on her right. I can collapse the wheelchair in five seconds or so now and bring it upstairs. I have a first floor bedroom with a bed if she doesn't want to come upstairs. She hasn't been sleeping well and is in my bed now. She took a valerian root powder extract, and has been out since about 10:30. I checked on her about thirty minutes ago and she's sleeping soundly in my bed. She's been getting up repeatedly at home, but her mattress and bedding are awful. I couldn't sleep in that either.

She probably won't get up until 10-12 tomorrow. She's been feeling rundown for a few days, but she can't sleep worth a damn with a bunch of animals coming in and out, bad bed, etc. I'm interested to see how she feels tomorrow after a long sleep in a proper bed with no disturbances.

OP, if you really want to be with this woman, do it.

What we say shouldn't matter.

*shrugs*

Since there's no actual advise wanted by the OP, this really seems more like fodder for blog posting.

I know. It reads like the diary of a caregiver of a terminally ill spouse or someone bringing home a baby for the first time, not some young folks just starting out. I feel like the novelty is a big part of the attraction.
