I actually do believe in true love with all the sparks and zings. DH and I both felt that way the first time we met as teenagers and still feel that way almost 50 years later. Never were apart from that first meeting, all through college and decades later.
You had better really, really like the other's personality and it helps to have similar goals and interests. My mother had the same relationship with my dad so maybe expectations for the long run have something to do with it, too. Good luck!
I am 28 years old (I know people will probably say I am still "young," but I feel like I may never find true love, as I never find anyone who blows me away.
So to everyone reading this....do you believe in true love? That love where you are totally blown away by someone and feel crazy sparks? I know Hollywood tend to make it look so much more fairytale like, but I was wondering if anyone has actually experienced amazing love.
Yes, I have experienced that. But not for long. It is not an experience that has longevity, it is fleeting and you savor it while you have it. I know of no one - NO ONE - who can maintain that "crazy in love" feeling much more than a year at most, and that is stretching it.
It depends on what "True Love" really means. Even in this thread, there are three or four different definitions. How can I believe in something if I can't really understand its true meaning...
