I can see modifying a car for performance reasons. I don't understand modifying a car to make it look more expensive though. Otherwise, you just end up looking like a guy who can't afford an expensive car but is trying look like he can.
Do what you want with it. It wouldn't especially impress me one way or the other. But I guess I "get" how people like some fun in their vehicles, so the customization wouldn't bother me at all.
My SO has two vehicles, one of which is an older beat up truck, which he has for purely utilitarian purposes, for when he needs a truck. He spent a few hundred on it, and it looks it. It wasn't running when we met, but I knew about it and had seen it. He has gotten it running, and he mentioned one day when we were out in it that his ex wouldn't be seen in the truck... Go figure, that's just symptomatic of why she is an ex now. If someone wants to judge either of us by his truck, neither of us are really interested in people so hung up on material crap.
A Subaru Forester will not attract women. You need a 2 door sports car. Besides, Millennials care more about electronics hardware than a car. Make sure you have a state of the art smartphone when you get their number (Apple preferred), and a high quality flat panel TV set. Good interior furnishings, and a nice apartment/home help too.
As a car guy, I have to say a color change is a damn bad idea. Unless you spend a lot, you won't get the door jambs, etc. to really look right. The paint on the jeep as it is is fine.
Just drive this one, as it is for a while, then, when you have the extra dough, get yourself a proper black G-Wagon. That will make you look like a "normal bro" there in Russia.
Well it is Texas. I worked at DWF airport for about 6 months and every other car in the employee parking lot
was an off road type vehicle. Lifted, 4x4. Roll bars, lights, winches, big tires with threads that would climb a power pole. Seemed to be a " thing " there. There were off road accessories shops all over the place!
Horses, cows, trucks, guns, and plenty of space to run amok.... in Texas.
I like the black one better. The red one looks like it belongs to a librarian.
