I mean if you have not conversed with each other online or text.. and meeting for the 1st time .. maybe matchmaking by mutual friends ..

is it considered a date to you ?

With technology today, there is no reason to have blind dates. You can send each other pictures in 2 seconds.

I don't think the term "blind date" literally means you have never seen their image. It's just a set up with someone you don't know.
