That’s what I’m thinking. Those were the ages I married my husband (he actually turned 28) and it was just fine. I figure there isn’t much room for me to complain about the converse

When I was 19 I got involved with a 27 yr old guy, it lasted almost five years. It never occurred to me someone might think it was 'cool', let alone disturbing...maybe I was just naive, lol.
I had a friend who dated a 19 year old when she was 33 and it was because men her age wouldn't put up with her games and drama. So she went towards much younger men just out of high school.

My former DIL is like that. She's 35, and her current boyfriend (of a long chain of young boyfriends) is 19.
She's trouble. She's smart, but she's trouble. On the plus side, most of the guys she picks gets along with her teen kids just fine. So...it's not hurting anyone on OUR side of things. But I can't imagine these 19 and 20 and 25 yr. old guys' parents are too happy about it.
What it is,is showing the maturity level for the 27yr old.It doesn't matter if it was a 27yr old man with a 19yr old female....the maturity level would speak volumes.Just because it's 'legal' doesn't make it right.
I once knew a 30yr old man whos gf was 18 at the time.To him, the relationship was more about his ego and control.
If the tables were turned 30yr old woman with an 18yr old boy(because that's what they are) it would be just as sad and some sort of an ego trip for the woman as well.

35 and 19 in todays day and times and how the current social mores are this to me isn't really appropriate. I mean it's legal and all and as long as people are consenting adults, blah blah blah etc etc etc.
If I found out a woman I was interested in had a history of playing the slap and tickle with a guy that much younger than her I'd have to bounce out, BIG TIME.
I feel the same way if the genders were reversed here actually. It would seem odd to me either way.
You already indicated that she's trouble and it doesn't sound like she's got her head screwed on straight.
Smart is good.
Smart with "trouble" isn't good.
