Thanks for posting the link. I was telling my husband, this could be us, since were 8 years apart. His parents were 7 years apart, I believed they were married 62 years total. Looking forward to be 100 and hubby 108.

Japanese do not count when we talk about marriage.

In Japanese culture marriage the man is allowed to seek interest in other women Usually he would give the wife access to his funds ( where she controls how much he gets for himself and the rest for the family ( home ).

Usually an idea if he makes enough he most likely could find a girl to play around with. You have tea women to call girls and much much more to choose from.

In eastern cultures it is normal for the wife to get the paycheck and give a decent amount to the husband.

For example it is normal for a man in some cultures to watch porn, even while tending to the children.

Other cultures allows for multiple marriages as long as he can support it. You have a guy with ten wives in some first world nations.

An old guy, married many years, once said to me after I asked him the secret to his successful marriage. He said to me, “Learn to keep your mouth shut.”

My wife standing within ear shot started laughing.
