I’m talking butterflies, writhing with anxiousness, rose tinted glasses, thinking of conversations that have yet happened, dopamine dump every time you’re with him/her, etc. How do you handle it, because it’s the worst and best feeling ever, and admittedly I haven’t handled all that well in the past.

Handle it? Relish it!

Be glad you've got a live one - they don't come along all that often. They say 'there's another bus coming every 20 minutes,' but you don't always get the bus that's going the right way.

I've enjoyed it when it happens - which is not often. Usually, once I get to know them better, the red flags kill the buzz, anyway. Only a few have ever survived the process of getting to know them! I'm still genuinely into a couple of them.

When I was in my teens I felt it often. Nowadays I'm rarely if ever truly attracted to someone. So I haven't felt anything like that since I was a teenager.

I average once a year. It’s rare for me.

Never any more. It would just be a waste of time and uneccesary wear and tear on my emotions anyway.

Plus I'm almost 50. The kind of thing you're describing is romantic nonsense for the very young.

There is nothing in the world better than dating someone who you think is the most beautiful in the world. It can break you in 2 when its over but I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Every couple of years...butterflies yes, but writhing!? Had to chuckle at that one. 😺

Only once every few years, which is how it's always been for me.
