I disagree, no reason why you can't be best friends

Think your wife is your best friend? You’re wrong. It doesn’t mean your marriage isn’t wonderful—it’s just a recognition that friendship and marriage, while they share key areas of overlap, are fundamentally different relationships. And conflating the two can cause far more problems for your marriage than your friendships, experts warn.

Look at the pieces this dude writes.

Do laptops damage your testicles?
Can a hot toddy really cure a cold?
Why gender equality can be dangerous for some women.

You want to call him an "expert" on marriage?

She's been my wife and best friend for 42 years. We're good for another 42 years.

Yet another click bait article not worth reading. Funny, the author probably saw all these, "I married my best friend!" claims, so decided to create an article to argue the point.

People always make such ridiculous absolutist claims. Sometimes it is the case, sometimes it is not. There is hardly ever just one true statement applicable to all.

I hear so often how bad it is for a single guy to be in the friendzone with a single woman. BUT if you marry her, you better be best friends!

My wife is unquestionably my best friend. That said, I believe that it is both healthy and important to have friendships outside of marriage. I have a group of friends I see socially apart from my wife a couple of times a year, she has the same. We have lots of mutual friends and spend almost all our free time together. This works for us.
