My baby's mother is vindictive, immature and abusive verbally and physically. It's hell living with her, she's very selfish from my point of view and doesn't care to attack me verbally and physically in front of our infant son.
I'm not saying I'm perfect but I really don't think this type of behavior is acceptable, especially not in front of our child. She's threatened me with knives and thrown various glass objects at me when she gets upset or doesn't get her way. She also yells constantly as soon as something doesn't go how she wants it to and calls me all kinds of names in front of our child.
Needless to say I'm very fed up and would definitely like to distance myself from this situation. My dilemma though, is that I don't have anywhere to go. On top of this she doesn't work and I'm the one paying rent and all the bills so I can't afford to get a place of my own and still pay the rent and bills where she and our child would live.
They don't really have anywhere to go, so to me leaving them to fend for themselves isn't really an option. I'm really in a tough situation I'm miserable with my baby's mother but as far as I can see I don't have the means to be able to leave.
I can't kick her out and just stay alone with my son because I work full-time and can't afford daycare (she stays at home with him).
Contact social services...legal aid, county childrens services, mental health organizations. There needs to be some intervention. Meanwhile if she gets violent call the police.

Not necessarily, if there’s no imminent danger to the child. Depending on the state many CPS agencies remove children as a last resort. Finding ways to improve the family environment and keep the child at home is many agencies’ first preference.

I like to joke around sometimes but this is actually completely serious.
