Why? Because pedophilia has been defined down. Do you remember the thread awhile ago where the one poster wouldn't let her daughter date anyone if there was any age difference because it was "creepy behavior". Even though there's a roughly two year age difference for most US couples. That right there was/is evidence of a pedophilia problem.
Anyone with a lick of sense knows that when a 21-year-old is attracted to an 18, 17, 16-year-old, that is not "pedophilia." It may not be appropriate and it may not be legal for them to have a sexual relationship but it is not pedophilia. Apparently some people need to look the word up in the dictionary.

I agree, but, unfortunately, many don't and have changed the definition.
The most fun with that was my last few years teaching when kids would complain that teachers doing assigned hall duty were "creepers" for being there. After all, time changing classes was "their (meaning students') time". And the kids were not shy filing a complaint, each of which had to be investigated.
As for the OP, it's a silly question which is poorly worded and his attempts at clarification muddy it even more.
Uh, you didn't answer my question. It hasn't been answered. No ones given another scenario its ok when its not senior/freshmen in hs, which is why I keep asking
I don't think an 18-year-old dating a 21-year-old (or older) is weird in any circumstances. I've had friends in their 30s who were dating 18/19 year olds. We have a legal age for a reason. If people want to debate the legal age should be raised, that's a different argument. But as far as I'm concerned, an 18-year-old can date whomever they choose.

It's always ok for a 21 year old to date an 18 year old, regardless of if they knew each other prior to that timeframe in their lives.
The only exceptions are if the 21 year old is a prison guard or a teacher and the 18 year old is an inmate or a student.
This conversation might go better if you started off by stating your objections to this relationship you're talking about.
I can think of NO scenario, barring immediate familial relation, in which an 18-yr-old and a 21-yr-old would not be able to date.
How about you?
Without knowing anything, I would probably frown upon seeing the two together. But that's just my own bias.
At some point in that 'relationship' the older person was 'with' an underage person. So in that sense, perhaps it could be problematic. I'm neither a judge nor prosecutor, so I would rather not have to think about such things. If I have a kid, and he/she is in such a relationship, then I'll think about it more.
