I was good friends with this guy I met at work(but different departments) and we started dating. But we drifted apart after he left the company. Before he left, he told me about all the various dramas going on with him and his kids. So I figured either he was busy or just making excuses and left him alone. I have not seen or heard from him in more than a year.
Well recently, this guy came to my apartment but I was not home. Instead, my neighbor friend was around and he remembered him. They were talking and he told him he came to see me and he missed me. My neighbor gave him my number and called me and we spoke briefly, but told me he had to go and would talk later. I haven't heard from him since then.
Why would this guy go to the trouble of finding me and getting my number but not following up on it? I really cared about this guy. I just don't get it.
I would but he hasn't contacted me since that day, which was a few weeks ago.
Do you really want that much drama in any case? Sounds like the guy has stuff going on already and isn't going to be particularly reliable or affectionate.....
Am I the only one who thinks it's weird that he went straight to her place without even attempting to get into contact with her first? Especially after a year of no contact?

Maybe he lost her number but remembered where she lived.
At any rate, he got her number but didn’t contact her.
