Agreed but who will submit those type of records if they know it will hinder their success?

STD and any medical information would be a huge HIPAA violation and no one is going to volunteer that info. Criminal record is public information. Do your research and discuss std's with potential partners but still wear a glove.

Make that app
See if enough people use it for it to be viable.

I'm certain some people would (make that information public).

Or better yet, start a service as trusted third party who reviews medical, financial, and criminal records and gives a generic thumbs-up rating, while keeping actual detailed info private.

How does one market an app that says "we screen for stds" if the results are only truly valid at the time of the testing. i hear lawsuit bells ringing.

Yup, and until you're monogamous for a period of time and both tested, well, the results at any point and time are pretty irrelevant. Practice safe(r) sex, communicate, and understand life has some risks.

Knowing someone tested negative one month ago is better than not knowing that, no?

I mean, unless someone was in your sight between the time they were tested and the time you have sex you can never be certain they didn't contract something between those two events.

Don't let the search for perfection, keep you from improving.
