-I work a lot.
-I have to be on-call 24/7 so that sometimes can damper plans.
-I am extremely opinionated, especially about politics and 'womens rights'
-I have a tendency to judge others
-I am very neat and get irritated with people who are slobs
I don't wear make up, dresses or heels. That seems to be unacceptable to most for a heterosexual woman. Lucky for me, I don't care what anyone thinks. If they'd dismiss me because of this, I'd want nothing to do with them either so it's no harm, no foul.
Actually, makes you a keeper. Most women I encounter don't really do makeup or very light if any.
-I can be quite manipulative (but not in an abusive way)
-I can be very judgemental and self-righteous.
-I can easily disregard a person in my life if I deem them to be negative, just cut them off. Sometimes it's an overreaction.
Introvert with history of depression. Introvert shouldn't be a red flag, but in our society, well, I think it is.
I also bottle up my emotions, which gives the false impression I don't care. I'm working on this.
Sometimes I talk about people in a too public setting.
Oh yeah. That's another red flag about me. I do try to disclose it to people who are close to me however.
Discretion is not my default setting. I don't gossip in a mean spirited way, I don't trash talk people, but I do talk about people. I usually say, "If you want me to keep something to myself, I can, I'm perfectly capable of it, but you do need to say so. Don't ASSUME that anything you tell me is confidential."
I know that for some folks this is a total dealbreaker, and I can respect that, it's why I disclaimer it pretty early on.
My boyfriend, despite being rather introverted and private in comparison to me, says he had a wise older male friend tell him, many years ago, "Women talk about EVERYTHING." and advise him to keep that in mind at all times, and to be as good to women in his life as possible so that the things that are said are good things. He knows I'm not just going to make stuff up, so he has never really asked me to keep anything confidential and tells me that he knows I'm going to tell my friends things about him, and he's fine with it.
- I have two kids with two different women.
- I attract crazy women. Seriously.
- My ex-wife is a crazy woman who breaths fire at any woman I date.
- I have crippling student loan and medical debt from 12 years ago that is still overwhelming.
- I have a lot of body hair and I don't feel like spending two hours shaving it.
Upside, I'm very tall and broad shouldered, got a little extra weight but not too much and I'm told that I have very nice eyes. Also, I'm a really nice guy but I think that one has gotten turned around on me more than a few times.
