Seriously, who even does this anymore? lol. Showing up with flowers? If someone did that these days, the recipient of the flowers would go on social media and complain to their friends that they are not the right color, they are allergic, etc. LOL
Man I feel sorry for some girls haha no flowers?! That’s a requirement for Valentine’s Day! Sheesh. I don’t go crazy and spend hundreds on them, even a $40 for some basic arrangement is a nice gesture. My first Vday dinner alone cost $330. I’ve never seen anything so absurd in my entire life. They just take advantage because it’s such an expected day and it wasn’t any amazing meal, oh wow it included one photo of us. Yay?! We never did that again. I think after that it was more like the $75-100 range and last year we went to a regular type of German food pub, it was maybe $45.
End it by the end of November and you can get out of buying an Xmas present, too.
That’s thinking right there! Straight up G. Lol. Also make sure the last dinner out, you somehow forgot your wallet - makes up for that first date you paid for.
I think Valentine’s is a little overblown. If you want to take someone out, go the night before to avoid crowds and long waits. If dinner’s not your thing, and you’re on a budget, make her a card or a handy gift.
Places like Target have all kinds of holiday trinkets for a dollar, just inside the door. Just don’t go too crazy because it sets up expectations of more and more and more.
