I'm dating a retired one- does that count? WAY too many variations. My guy was a public defender- totally different than someone making zillions off class action suits or a new lawyer trying to make partner at a big-name law firm. I like the guy I'm dating- he's kind, caring, smart and, even though we have different points of view on some issues, our discussions are LOGICAL. No knee-jerk "I don't like this proposal because Politician X came up with it and I hate Politician X". I've also worked with perfectly nice corporate lawyers in the insurance business- haven't had the opportunity to date them but if we'd both been unattached and in the same age bracket I would have been willing to give them a try.
It's the same as dating any other person. Your experience will depend on the personality and characteristics of the individual you are dating. There are a lot of different types of people that practice law.
I waited two weeks for an attorney I've hoped to date to return from an out-of-country engagement, to set up a first meeting, but after two days in which she should be back, my hopes that "she didn't have an international text plan" to explain her radio silence has changed to the fact that I've been ghosted.
In that regard, an attorney seems to be just like many other woman I've tried to connect with.
are you kidding... do you assume a universal similarity between attorneys?
I wasn't sure that's why I am here to ask. lol If you google it, there are some distinct characteristics from what I've read. I just wanted to hear personal opinions. Thanks everyone for the responses
