whats the percentage that the person who accepts ends up cancelling or standing up. i think its nearing 50/50.

That hasn't been my experience at all. I'd say it's a lot closer to 90/10, maybe one out of ten change or cancel.

Happened to me quite a few times. They give you their number "just to be nice", and when you call and leave a voicemail, they don't return it. Or if they do answer, they are always "busy".

What do you mean with "someone?" Someone you already know in person or someone that you started messaging online?

I believe, the question is if he or she accepted to go on a date (predetermined place and time) and they canceled or a no-show.

Never happened to me, as an adult, anyway.

yup, but thistowns response adds to the question because implicitly one asks for fone number to guage interest in dates; although, in this case, the one that says yes ends up not accepting a date.

I agree.

50% is an exaggeration for the average dater. I don’t believe there’s that many shady-immature people out there dating.
