There's a woman at work who texts me from time to time, and we have normal chit chat banter at work. Last week she sent me a text saying that we have a lot in common, and if her husband died, she'd go for me.
Her husband is a cop, and the last thing I'd do is get involved with a married woman. Should I just try not to ever talk to her again?
No. Just say, "I know we joke, but I'm not really comfortable with that kind of discussion." Then keep talking to her as if nothing ever happened.
If her husband died is an odd comment. She shouldn’t even be thinking that. Why not divorce her husband? Wouldn’t be crazy about a cheating woman with a cop husband either.
