I know, it's hardly ever mentioned in the show. It was finally revealed in 2005:
Quote:
A long-running gag on the show was never to reveal the character's name, with other characters referring to him as "Comic Book Guy". Finally, in the February 6, 2005 episode, "Homer and Ned's Hail Mary Pass," Comic Book Guy nonchalantly told Ned Flanders, "My name is Jeff Albertson, but everyone calls me 'Comic Book Guy'"[7]. Show runner Al Jean remarked, "That was specifically done to make people really mad. We just tried to pick a generic name. It was also the Super Bowl show, so we did it so the most people possible would see it." Groening stated that he had originally intended him to be called Louis Lane and be "obsessed and tormented by" Lois Lane, but was out of the room when the writers named him[8].

Honey, he is retarded leave him alone. If you stay with him you will have major regrets later. Don't do that to yourself. Leave him and if he is for you then he will come running after you. Remember guys are like dogs and if they are looking for you they will sniff u out!!! They will find you no matter where you hide. Don't turn into an old lady because he wants to be an old man.

I think his re-hab drugs may still be in his system. You are aware that they are on meds while in rehab right

And no event really preceeded all of this drastic change- I guess his true colors just came out.
I talked to a doctor once regarding my ex husband. After a year of marriage, he never did anything but sit home and play video games and didn't do ANYTHING out of the house. Even started showing his bad work patterns. I made a comment to the doctor saying something along the lines of "I don't know if he has depression, or if he's just lazy" and the doctor's reply was that no one is "just lazy". He explained to me that people who SEEM lazy usually have depression or other issues going on, because laziness is not a natural human factor. He said that people aren't born lazy, nor do they learn it. It's not a personality trait, nor is it something that stays that way if you choose to fix it. He said it most likely stems from depression, which has the effects of loss of interest and tiredness, which results in someone seeming lazy... Just a thought.

What that doctor gets a little more experience, he will find that there are plenty of lazy people out there.
(And he'll probably find out when a few of them are too lazy to pay his bill).

The guy is down and out right now don't be so negative. He has some things (injury and potential disease) going on that are out of his control right now, if you really carry about the guy you'll step up and help the guy return to form, if you don't help, that means you don't care. So, do him a favor and quit critizing and step up or leave.
