Age of consent laws are obsolete! (girlfriend, women, love, attracted)

Also the age of consent laws are rather archaic as well. Out here in CA the age of consent is 18 with a romeo & juliet window +/- 3 years. So anyone over age 21 is considered a rapist if they have sex with someone under 18, regardless of consent. These laws are archaic because they go directly AGAINST human instinct. Women are attracted to older men and men are attracted to younger women. The statistics show that:
3 of 4 births to High School girls are fathered by adults (men over 18).
Men over 25 account for twice as many teen births as boys under 18 years old.
Men over 20 are responsible for 5 times as many births among junior high school girls.
In California almost 70% of teen births are fathered by adult men.
So here we have a testosterone filled male (21-25) and then a bunch of young females who are interested in him. Anyone see something wrong with that? Making laws that are being thrown straight in the face of human nature and instinct. So now your average male is now a criminal because he was attracted to a girl who was 5 years younger than him.
We should make the age of consent at the age of puberty which usually finishes around age 13-14.

These laws are made to protect CHILDREN from adult preditors and any man over 21 sleeping with a girl under 18 is one and deserves to be labeled as such to protect his next victim. I don't care who is attracted to who. He's SUPPOSED to be an adult and needs to act like one. The only thing wrong with the law you stated is that it allows a 20 year old to sleep with a 17 year old. THAT IS wrong.
13 and 14 year olds don't have the sesne to know what they are consenting to. They aren't ready to handle the emotional aspects of being sexually active. I find it disgusting that any adult thinks they should be allowed to consent to sex with a, suposed, adult. That's just sick.

You are assuming your average high schooler is a complete idiot void of any ability to rationally think for themselves. Most high school kids are having consensual sex and the statistics clearly demonstrate that. Just go to any high school dance and WATCH the way they dance.

Just because the statistics show what you state doesn't make it right. IMHO, girls in their young teens are not mature enough to know better and young adults will take advantage of it. Changing the consent laws would allow most cyber stalkers to get off when their only goal was to have sex with a minor.
