I can't help but wonder; is it hers (cushy job? Independently wealthy?), or was it a loaner for the evening from her parents? (Sorry, I keep getting hung up on these unusual details. We've had a couple of other threads like that recently, with minor details that stand out.)

Maybe it’s her parents’; maybe it’s older? I bought an inexpensive, older 4-wheel drive SUV from the parents of a young woman who was tired of the crummy gas mileage they get. It was used when they got it for her. They’re very safe for young folks. (I can haul or tow anything anywhere.)

Did some of you notice that OP is 23? Some of you answer soooo smugly and condescendingly all the time that it's a wonder an OP comes back as though you were so perfect and had all the answers at every stage of your life. What is sooooooo obvious to you may not be obvious to others who haven't had the same experiences or quantity of experiences.
