People normally at least try to put their best foot forward at the beginning of a marriage because they want to start off on the right foot. If that’s him on his “best” behavior, uhmm…..

I agree.

I think we've come to a place in the thread where some of the responses become so surreal we will have to wonder if perhaps the people writing them grew up in a cave.

OMG you guys. This is up there with gatorade on the coach and champagne splashing in the locker room. Rituals, as stupid as they may seem. A wedding is a ritual extravaganza, the ring, the vows, the ring bearer. If you look at the cake pushes videos most are giddy happy. And I think she even said he had a back up cake for the guests which I believe is usual to have a sheet cake because the ritual is to freeze the cake for the first anniversary. It's all rituals.

haha...well what the coach had asked, PLEASE don't anyone dump gatorade on my head if we win. I have a severe claustrophobia and will quit if you do it. Would the players listen? Probably not...and no one would call them abusers.

I do think the word abuse is tossed around a little too freely these days.

But in the context of what actually happened at the wedding, if the players forcibly grabbed and held the coach's head in a vat of gatorade instead, would you call that abuse?

I didn't realize he grabbed her and put her head in the cake.

That's what the article said happened.

When people used to tickle me, and I'd insist that they stop and they didn't, I said "I'll hurt you" and proceeded to do just that. They stopped.

I hate the cake smash EVERY time I've seen it. It's disrespectful and rude. This one seems particularly so.

They had talked about it, and he humiliated her in front of her friends and family on her wedding day? I'd have split with him that night.

Tacky move on the groom's part. A lot of work usually goes into the bride's hair, make-up, dress, veil. It's usually
a BIG DEAL for the bride to look her best that day in front of everyone. Who wants to be humiliated?
