Well, since we're all about "the guys and the girls" on this forum (and rightly so), I just thought I'd put in that I had the guy-est dream imaginable last night.

My DH disagrees with me that it's a total guy dream because there was no...oh, never mind. I'll just get on with the dream.

In my dream there were four football teams for each of the smaller states, and the bigger states had four teams for certain portions of the state. So, for example, we're in California and we had four NoCal teams and four SoCal teams.

The Superbowl wasn't a match between the two best teams. It was an all-day celebration of just football, in which all teams played across the country. And your own area would broadcast its own four team's games. So it was like 16 hours of football.

Our first two teams won, then the third team lost and we were all sad...We went to the supermarket to pick something up and everyone in the store was watching the games on monitors. Every single person in the store was talking to at least one or two other people about the current play. We were in line and the cashier and we were cheering a certain play on the monitor. We walked home (this is a realistic dream because I love walking to the store...it's not very far away and it's always nice weather here) and we could hear people cheering or booing out people's car windows.

It was awesome! So what's your vote? What does my dream mean? Take my poll.

I voted the first choice, of course.

But I'll refrain from any further analysis, since I loathe team sports.

Awww! I lurve me some Phil. Hugs to you.

Football used to bore me until I started learning the rules and what the plays meant and the penalties and the whole nine and then all of a sudden, BAM, lovin' the football. That was years ago. I also love hockey, but I have always loved hockey...GO DEVILS...okay, so that's another post.

The dream wasn't even really about football, but rather has some deeper meaning.

Whoa - talk about your backfields in motion...

Meh - 38 years in martial arts and only one major injury. 9 months in high-school football and had simultaneously-broken collarbones.

I voted the second one. I think it's just your hormones on the fritz. Since you say it was not only realistic, but a rather happy dream, I wouldn't put too much stock in the 'deeper meaning' of it. There were tons of things you like (football, your state, walking to the store in good weather, etc) so it's just one of those happy dreams. I don't think your subconscious was trying to tell you anything deeper than 'don't worry, be happy!'

I believe the dream has something to do with conformity (Your dream suggests that every single person within your community is obsessed with football). Either you are afraid people won't conform to you, or you are afraid of not being able to conform to them.
