When I was perusing match.com (and eventually met my husband on that site), I had a rule of thumb that I meet someone in person as soon as possible. None of this long drawn out BS. You know how I learned this? I met this guy online. We were very compatible He was a genuinely nice guy, the real deal so to speak. For various reasons, we couldn't get together in person for a few weeks, but we talked a LOT on the phone, online, etc. Finally, after about a month, I met him in person and get this - HE HAD A TINY HEAD. Honestly, he had such a small, narrow head! It was bizarre! Now, I actually have a pretty large head myself, so that's even WORSE! I couldn't imagine kissing him! Not after I saw his tiny head - and when I say head, I mean the tiny head between his shoulders!!!!!!
A truly nice, nice guy, and I'm glad I met him, but we were destined to only be friends, and we were both looking for more than that.
OP, you don't even know if he has pheromones you're attracted to! What if there's something about him that is just a huge turn off? Goodness. Nope.
Frankly, I'm surprised he hasn't asked you for money yet. I hate to sound harsh or paranoid, but if he's still active online on the dating site, he's looking for victims, not a relationship. And you living so far away you can't easily meet in person is perfect for that.
