I can believe it. Everything you are brought up with in movies, social media, news, etc shows unreality..
But, if you look at dating apps, there arent many good looking women out there either.

Didn't and don't plan to watch the video but it might be more accurate to say they don't find 80% to be attractive or desirable, not that they necessarily actively find them unattractive.

I have noticed a trend in the dating world that women are more attracted to portfolios..
Looks get them to notice you, no doubt, but security is always the real need.. No offense to the feminists, independent women. I see many and know many. But, they arent the majority.
Not very many people of either sex have a big wow factor. Not if you are only judging by looks, make up off for women, both sexes in jeans and a crew neck t- shirt and bare feet. Clothes really can make a difference for both sexes.
I am not going to watch the video. The more a person is around someone (that is pleasant) the better that person starts to look. Or maybe it's just that other factors over ride looks. So for online dating, looking at a picture, not too many are going to be Wow! One date, where at least one of the participants is likely to be uncomfortable, and everyone is on their best behavior, doesn't give people time to get to know each other. So unless someone is Mr. Charisma he's not likely to fall into the attractive catagory right away. It's more like an acceptable looking catagory. Repulsive is probably a small catagory based on the physical appearance. It expands when one considers bad personalities.
My ex wasnt super good looking. And after time, I grew to like her more and more. Clothing makes a huge deal.
I guarantee that.

Why would anyone be showing others their portfolios? It's always best to go through life letting people think you have less than you do. And when young people are pairing up chances are neither of them have much.
If people need to see how clothes, hair etc make a difference, look at family photo albums. See how pictures can change the way you look, due to hair, clothes, location.. So many things.
I have met movie stars in real life.. Very few look like what we see. Two in particular, Brooke Shields and Kate Jackson ( Charlies Angels of long time ago) . When I met them , no makeup, other than normal for them.. Looked like they did on tv.
Now, for all you women that wear make up, take it off, take pics.. I bet you will see some insecurity.
Men, tuck your shirt in and look at that gut.. Just little things. We all have imperfections..
