I may have just been hit on; went completely over my head (married, woman)

-I work in customer service

-Woman approaches the desk; big diamond on her hand

-She is a member at my business, asks me "do you want my number" so I can look her up for the discount

-Normally people say, "do you NEED my number," not "want"

-I took this opp to say a joke, "well, I WOULD like your number, yeah, but I do also need it to look you up"

-She laughs, gives me her number to look up

-Complete transaction

-Ask she is leaving she says, "well now you have my number, you can call me."

-I figure she is joking. I laugh and say, "haha oh yeah, definitely, " sarcastically

-She laughs and says, "and if my husband answers, just hang up"

-I laugh again and say goodbye


She wasn't serious, right? Please tell me I didn't ********** up.

I wonder if she was like that cause she figures you know who she is and therefore since you know she gets the discount, her providing her number is kind of a waste of time?

If she has a huge rock on her hand, I would assume she is joking/flirting, and not being literal. But, who knows.
