How far are you willing to either take the bus , Uber , bike , or drive out to date someone and form an official relationship with someone?

I have gone from Los Angeles to San Diego to just go on a date and see how it goes but I would not do more than 100-120 miles - anything more is pushing it in my opinion

Usually I meet most people closer to my home than that but for all of you. What’s the farthest distance you are willing to do to meet someone in person for a date or form an official relationship with someone ?

Since you are in my area, let me tell you what I did.

I lived in Ventura County and my current bf in San Diego (North County). The drive is 4,5 hours during the day, I think it is 150mls (horrible traffic through LA) and 2 hours 15 min. at night when traffic calmed down. First date - met half way.

Then we saw each other on the weekends. Left the house Friday at 7pm when traffic was going down, driving home Sunday evening at 7pm. We did that for a few months, the weekends got longer and longer (I work remotely) and then he said "You may as well just stay here." So I moved in. That was about 2,5 years ago. Now we drive to Ventura County sometimes for the weekend to see my friends.

No distance is too far for loved in my opinion.

About an hour, tops. If I'm dating I want to be able to see my paramour after work as well as on weekends.

Same general area. Maybe 5 miles. Not wasting my time going back and forth for a longer distance.

You must live in a big city, have a lot of money or are very, very attractive!

Probably an hour's drive at the most normally. I'd consider more, but I'd want to be able to have the luxury of an overnight with said someone for more of a drive. Otherwise, it might feel less worthwhile. Geography is important for me too- if I live near one big city and I have to drive past another to get somewhere else, that might be too much. Traffic near and in NYC can be very unpredictable. The other person 90% needs to have driving ability if they are not close to me.
