Sorry. I'm kinda bummed right now. Needed to vent....or a pat on the back or something.
So, how does it feel today?

I haven't read any of the other posts but I TOTALLY KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH!!!!!!!! I turn the big 20+10 in week and I'm totally freakin' dreading it. If I could hide under a rock all day I would!! Luckily, I have no friends here in the area (we just moved) so nobody can bug me about throwing a party or having a get together. Damn, it's shocking, isn't it?!

I roll my eyes when my friends cousins tell me they're dreading 25 (quarter century).

Poor things... See, when you use the word century (be it even 1/4) it gets disturbing. It's the same deal as the half-full glass - 25 sounds a whole lot better!

I'm all about poor wording and phraseology. And you don't want to know what I tell those who turn 50.

Better stuff it 'cause you'll be there before you know it, too!

I agree, happy belated birthday! drjones, I suggest that next year you plan a birthday celebration that will make you happy. Do whatever gives you joy and invite the people you want to spend time with. Don't wait for others to make the day special - do it yourself then it will be exactly the way you want it to be.
BTW - I fondly remember the thirties being better than the twenties. I wish the same for you!
