This question is only for the guys since the other way is quite obvious. Would you date a woman who was unemployed? Is there a point where the financial disparity would be too severe for you to handle, or would it not matter? What if you had a relatively high income and enjoyed a higher standard of living (going out to fancy restaurants, vacations etc.) and she was unemployed? Would it bother you that you had to always pay for everything and shoulder the burden of double costs everytime?

Well, Paris Hilton is unemployed, but that's a bad example because I still wouldn't date her.

Default Of course if she is looking for work.. or has money

If she is looking for work or has enough money to not work, I would say yes!

I'd be very surprised if dating is on the list of priorities of an unemployed person at all, but I’m quite a bit an*l in the financial stability department.

Depends why she's unemployed. If it's because she's going to school, I'd probably still date her. If it's because she's between jobs, and I know for a fact she is actively searching, I would probably date her. But if she's just sitting back trying to figure out how to get the next fix of crack... that would be a "no."

From observing the guys I know, if a woman were unemployed, as long as she was hot looking, dressed sharp, was charming and would make a good trophy to show off to their guy friends, they would have no problems dating or even marrying her.

ugh not really.I won't deal with high maintnance that would drain me mentally and financially just so I could have her "drain me" sometimes.

If I was a friggin multi millionaire it may not matter as much but............

I don't care if she works at a Burger joint as long as she is contributing something.I just can't deal with her sitting at home all day eating BonBons,or even worse drinking.Or even worse going to the casinos.....and yes I have known a couple types like that.

That's true. Men are a lot more lenient in this area - probably because the other head does the thinking for most of them and also because they traditionally usually make more money. Of course, there are those fine exceptions who spend their entire lives searching for their calls and wondering what to do when they grow up, which never happens. There’s always balance in the universe, though. There seems to be enough supply of gullible women to support them and even rationalize and furiously justify their behaviors. The ladder theory is not too much out of line, ya know…

Supply and Demand. If she is hot enough, and wayyyy better looking than anything else he will ever land....hell yes he will date her. Even marry her.

Occassionally people actually fall in love. I seen it once on Andy Griffith.
