That's funny because I rarely see a black male with an Asian female in my neck of the woods.
The wife and I went shopping yesterday at the Grove here in LA which is a place people sometimes just go to hang out. We were relaxing on the grassy area listening to a live band and just people watching. There were so many interracial couples with beautiful kids there it was great.
The most popular seemed to be black male/blonde woman but we also saw at least 20 black male/asian female couples as well. I didnt really notice it until my wife pointed out to me that the prettiest, sexiest women all seemed to have black boyfriends/husbands.

Out of curiosity, in Socal do you ever see any white male/black woman or asian male/white or black woman or is most of the interracial dating done by black men?
Ummm.... so what's so great about my Asian heritage that it needs to eclipse my American side? Being Chinese is just genetics and how my mom raised me with discipline and a focus on academics, but that's about it.
And should I admire the old dynastic China with the bound feet and concubines, or the communist China under Mao, or the current China that oppresses Tibet and open opinions, and wants to take over Taiwan?

There's also that Asian actor John Cho that is in the Harold and Kumar movies and occasionally guests on Ugly Betty.
Again, I don't think that Hollywood is suppressing any Asian actors so much as there needs to be talented male Asian actors for them to hire. I'm not saying that Asian can't act, but that acting is not something that young Asian American males want to do. Why don't you go into acting?
And I do remember many years ago, Jackie Chan was interested in making American movies and was looking for good scripts to showcase his talent. He was offering a finders fee for a good script. Ultimately he is held back by the way he speaks English. So far, he's only been in American comedy movies and never been a leading man in a straight film. He knows what his strengths are. Plus he prefers making movies in Asia with his own stuntmen and film talent.

Ummm.... my grandfather on my mom's side was a diplomat for Taiwan. My mom went to Harvard U grad school for ancient Chinese history. She passed her orals for her doctorate but never found a thesis topic that interested her. So her bookshelves were full of Chinese history books.
Anyway, Chinese heritage is very interesting but so are other countries' histories. So the Chinese invented pasta and fireworks, but they also bound women's feet. And how about those underage Chinese gymnasts in the Olympics?

And as an Asian male, how could you understand the Asian female point of view about anything? What about all the Chinese female babies in mainland China that were drowned by families hoping for a son instead? And even now, the sons always get treated better than the daughters. Sure Chinese have a lot to be proud of, but they also have much to be ashamed of also. So everything balances out. No race is better than another. I prefer America because as a female, I do have more rights, freedoms and opportunities than if my family had stayed in China. And overall, my Chinese family has prospered better than if they had all stayed in China or Taiwan. Living in America and fully assimilating into the Western culture here has been a total win-win situation for my family. It's the formula that worked for us.
I'm happy for you that you love your Asian heritage so much. Have I ever asked YOU to think differently? But if I want to live and think differently, I don't see how that impacts YOUR life negatively. Aren't well all entitled to our own preferences and opinions? So I don't understand all the hatred spewing from your keyboard. You're the wacked out one.

I really feel that I am quite neutral feeling about my Chinese roots. Things that I like about my culture would be that I value having a good education and believe that having self discipline is important. I also respect my elders... to a point. And I think that most American families are raising their children without enough discipline or respect towards their elders, they are spoiled and they need to value having a good education more. And things that I disagree with my Chinese culture about would be that sons should not be treated better or valued more than the daughters and I think that the concept of saving face is completely ridiculous and counterproductive.
So from reading your posts, you seem to think that your opinions are worth more than mine. Perhaps that is the male chauvinist in you coming out. And since I don't see you attacking the men in this forum for desiring women of races that are not the same as theirs, I think that your male pride is hurt because there are many women that don't find Asian males attractive enough to want to have a relationship with. So you attack me and demean my posts as a way of saving face. Otherwise, there are plenty of Asian women that still find Asian males attractive for mates. My non attraction to Asian males really has zero effect on any Asian male's social life, including yours. And I see no need for your hatred towards my posts... unless it's just struck a raw nerve because my attitude towards Asian males is not very uncommon. And if it makes you feel better, in real life I've never encouraged any woman to not be romantically interested in an Asian male and have never even girl talked speculating about Asian males not being well endowed.

Here you see pretty much everything. Its so much of a melting pot here in LA that most couples here seem to be some type of interracial couple.
Well, at least from the Asian women I know, many of the ones who were born here tend to have what is called "reverse racism". This is kind of the same thing that a lot of black guys have in how they tend to not want to date black women. With Asian women (the ones I know) its the same thing that they just refuse to date an Asian man. I dont know why, and they dont say why but I see it all the time.
Now the Asian women I know who frequent the gym (the ones who are all into working out, doing yoga, pilates, running, and looking good) all seem to be dating black guys. The Asian women (who are born here) who are not so into fitness seem to only date white guys. This baffles me.
You're right about alot black men not wanting date black women, but I'm not one of them. I strictly prefer black, asian, and non-white hispanic women.
