I counseled a student who is having roommate problems, which is quite odd since I am a professor and not a personal counselor. Still, I know her pretty well and I was honored that she felt comfortable to come to me with her problem.

So now they're on the Pacific side of Panama, where they'll rest and get provision before striking out for the Galapagos, followed by a 3,000 mile slog to French Polynesia. I've made some progress on a major project that has been keeping me up at night.
Can't wait to get that f@@@@@ finished.
