I went to lunch with these 2 guys that I always B.S. with and who work in an adjacent department . It was pretty funny venting about other idiots in the office. This afternoon, a lady that works in the same adjacent department firmed up plans to have lunch with me tomorrow. She's from NYC and we've been talking about if for a while.
I generally grab lunch on my own, which is ok with me. A nearby Safeway's deli makes some damn good sandwiches.
Today is my daughters 7th birthday and she had me laughing last night and this morning.
Last night my step father called and my eldest son answered the call. My step father was asking about gifts for my daughter and asked what we had gotten her. My son tried to tell him in a quiet voice but he could not hear it. So my son repeated it a little louder and not only did my SD hear it, so did my daughter! We were in the next room!
We bought her an American Girl doll that she has been asking to recieve for 2 years! She looked at me and said "Don't be sad, Mommy. It will still be a surprise...I don't know which one I got"
I put her to bed at 8:30p.m. and at 11:30p.m. I saw her coming through the house with her school clothers on, her hair done, shoes on and her backpack on her back ready to go to school. I asked her what was going on and she had slept so heavy she thought it was time to go to school already!
Anyway, these things made me happy! She woke up this morning and we went to Krispy Kreme before school and she has her cookies for her party at school!
People should enjoy their birthdays while they're enjoyable.
If she could, she would celebrate the entire month of October! It is so cute!!
