You'd think saints and Gods should be more forgiving than us regular sinners.

Nico, why are you expecting others to provide you with the Scripture verse? Aren't you able to look it up? You can use the Concordance at the end of the Bible and look it up yourself.

I would not do it if I had my life to re-live.

Basically, for a woman, it is a fool's deal-- you are basically giving away free sex with scant masculine obligation in return. I know we're all supposed to be so "past" that in the liberated age, but most women who are being honest with themselves feel a twinge of resentment about this.

You're just getting older and older, with no commitment on the horizon, while he takes his sweet time deciding whether you're an acceptable candidate to mother his children? And you're supposed to be HAPPY about this great liberated status?

Also, cohabitation pretty much sucks all the romance and sweetness out of the early days of married life; you've already been privy to this person's morning breath and back acne for several months or years, so getting married becomes more of an exercise in irritating tradition than a meaningful committment.

Anyway, I divorced the guy I cohabited with for two years, and have stayed happily married to the guy I DIDN'T live with before marriage. Living together as a trial marriage is pretty worthless in my book.

Tell the boyfriend, if he wants a prostitute, hire one. If he wants a wife, marry one.

Don't let him give you the worst of both worlds.

Because this is a forum where people ask other people for help with questions. I don't see a problem with her question. I am stumped
on where the verse is or I would try to help.

I would not live together first if I could have a do over. This is why...
I might have realized he was a jerk if I had of kept more of my friends and space before marriage. As it was I realized too late.

You wouldn't buy a car without test driving it first, right? It'd be a little foolish to marry before testing out all the "bells and whistles".

All of a sudden, you're becoming religious, like you mentioned in that "happy" thread.
