Well folks, my wife will be induced into labor tomorrow, we got to be at the hospital at 6am. This will be my 3rd child and I am really excited about. It's a boy. I already started the negotiations with the NY Yankees about their future All Star third baseman Jonathan Andres Lopez to whom I intend to build him from the ground up.
I will post some pics after he's born ( quite a birthday he'll have 9/11 ).

That's the date the doctor set. Last week she was dialated 5 cm. Today she went to her last check up before going to the hospital and she is 3 cm. I just don't know what to say.
that is silly. people are born every day--including on dates that may bring up a bad memory.
Well, I think induced labor is silly, but we all have our differences. Apparently babies can’t interfere with the doctors’ golf schedules these days.

My friend was due September 11th, 2 years ago, but she wound up having her son on the same day my son was born (August 30th). There is still a chance for the baby to be born on a different day than the 11th. I was induced beginning at 7pm on August 28th and gave birth to my sun at 5:35 am on August 30th! We all thought he was going to be born the 29th.

My Dr. wanted to induce me a week and a half early because she was going on vacation and didn't want me to have the baby while she was away. I said no, I want him to stay in there until he is ready to come out.
Unfortunately if you go more than a week past your due date without naturally going into labor they make you induce labor. I was induced a week and a half after my due date.
If I could give advice to anyone who is thinking about inducing, just remember that it is a much harder labor than one that comes naturally. (Unless you are past your due date and then you really have no choice!)
