To be fair, black women are largely conditioned (by the larger society and by their own group) to expect that white men will exotify them in a way that will preclude a long-term relationship. That explains why you don't see as many BW/WM couples as BM/WW; unlike black men (who may welcome the sexual stereotyping), black women tend to shrink from the stereotypes and withdraw from other men to avoid being exotified. To that end, I think that many black women have not considered the possibility of dating white men until recently (that is, within the last 20 years).
I will say, however, that this is changing. The girls that I know who are in their 20's and younger are far more open about the possibility of dating other races than even I was at their age.
For the record, nearly all of my significant relationships have been with white men (with a few Asians and some black men, as well). As for whether black women as a whole find white men attractive, I do not know. But in an individual sense, I think you can always ask.
I also think that black men are more attracted to white women than white men to black women, but IMO there's a disparity because black women are further stereotyped as unfeminine. Also it seems that black women are more reluctant to date outside their race than black men.
No, b/c black girls like to play with bigger sticks.
"big sticks" aren't exclusive to Black men.
How many of these black/white/Asian threads are going to pop up here?
I think it's great that people what to explore dating outside of their race. I don't think a person's race should have anything to do with dating one way or the other.
